After a distinguished 46-year career as a property and flood insurance expert, Leesa O’Donnell Tomsett retired in 2025 to pursue her passion for storytelling. She is the author of the non-fiction work An Anthology of Loss, Healing, and Resilience, and three children’s books: Clara and Karen’s Big Adventure: A Guardian Angel Story, The ABC’s of the Fairy Realm., and Camp Unity.  She is currently at work on her next book. 

Leesa holds a BA from the University of the Incarnate Word. While a native New Orleanian at heart, she currently lives in San Antonio, Texas, with her husband, son, and their family pets.here.
