As I stated in the last blog, my former boyfriend’s new girlfriend – I will call her “Sue” - would be the bridge for me to communicate with Karen. The year is 1982, and my 21st birthday is approaching. I started having the irrational fear that I might be killed just like Karen was in 1972. I also started having dreams about Karen where I tried to reach out to help her, but she would just run away from me every time I got close. I had also started feeling Karen’s presence around me. This continued for weeks.
One evening my former boyfriend and Sue stopped by my apartment for a visit. As we sat around my living room, Sue started telling me about her grandfather who was in a coma, and how she was trying to assist him to transition. When Sue was a child, she could see spirits around her, and it got so intrusive that she forced herself to close herself off. Now with her need to help her grandfather, she started to open herself up again.
As we were talking, I could feel warmth around me. Sue kept looking over my head and finally asked, “Do you feel something?” I replied that I did and at that moment I felt the warm feeling move away from me. Sue mentioned that there was someone watching and listening to us. As Sue continued speak, she suddenly took in a deep breath and told me to get a pen and paper. All I could find was a yellow highlighter. Sue wrote:
Love me
Call me
Crying
Happy but too soon
First time back
As quickly as it happened, it was over. Sue explained to me that my sister was trying to communicate with me. Sue then laid down on the sofa and invited Karen in. Sue was allowed to see and feel everything that Karen experienced that terrible night, viewing the scene through Karen’s eyes. Sue saw the gun pointed at her, when she looked up, all she saw was a face shadowed in darkness, and suddenly the gun fired shooting her in the chest. Then Sue started crying uncontrollably. I held Sue’s hand through the entire time, and the energy flowing through Sue’s hand into me was incredibly powerful.
Karen communicated through Sue that she did not want to connect directly with me because she did not want me to feel the pain and fear that she felt that night. Karen also asked me to promise that I would discontinue my efforts to reopen her case because she didn’t want the same thing to happen to me.
You may wonder if Sue made the whole thing up. We were all completely sober that night. Sue grew up in another part of the country and would have been like 7 or 8 at the time of Karen’s death. There was no way she would have known the details of what happened to Karen that night, and there was no internet at that time.
Of course I did what Karen asked, and discontinued my efforts to pursue Karen’s case. From that moment on I never felt Karen around me again, nor did I dream of her. And life continued.
